Marcum Motors Beginnings..

Marcum Motors started with a small lot in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. On that lot was a tiny building and a few vehicles and in the heart of the owner was determination. Frank M. Marcum opened Marcum Motors in 1972, he was barely open for business a month when the unthinkable happened. A hurricane named Agnes and the rains she brought consumed the Wyoming Valley. Devastation was everywhere. But this did not deter Frank, and once the clean up effort was underway and people were getting back to their normal routine, Marcum Motorsreopened. Throughout the next couple of years, Marcum Motors began to out grow the Luzerne lot. In 1975, a decision was made to move Marcum Motors to a more ideal location: Wyoming, PA. The business was moved to the Corner of First Street and Wyoming Ave (still our current location). Many of our customers still remember the little trailer that was used as a sales office. It is here on this lot that our family business truly began to grow.
